Green energy is not the future – it is the present. With this conclusion we returned from the XVI Conference “Renewable energy sources as a chance for sustainable development of the region”, which took place on March 21, 2025 in Szczecin. The event – accompanying the Energy Forum – was organized by the Marshal’s Office of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and TW Szczecin Shipping.
The Conference focused on green energy. They talked about its market, about buying it by public entities and about innovative solutions. One of the speakers present in Szczecin was Szymon Kowalski, vice president of the RE-Source Hub Poland Foundation, who introduced participants to the current situation of the energy market in Poland. He also took part in a panel discussion titled “Can green energy drive equitable transformation of regions and municipalities?”.
As the Foundation, during the Szczecin conference – together with Bartlomiej Kuras representing BES-LAW – we led a practical workshop entitled “Why should TSU buy green energy? How to enter into cPPAs step by step”.
