The second edition of the “New Balancing Conditions” training course, organized by the Polish Wind Energy Association together with the RE-Source Poland Huv Foundation, was held on May 6 and 7 in Warsaw. The large number of participants present at the meeting showed the great interest in the key changes, which – effective June 14, 2024. – significantly affect the functioning of the Polish energy sector.
During the workshop, we discussed these topics:
The new entity and object structure of the balancing market, along with last year’s modifications and an updated catalog of balancing services;
market rules for the pricing of balancing energy and power reserves, which will be of key importance for the day-to-day operations of many entities in the energy market;
the 15-minute settlement period for balancing energy and imbalances and their practical consequences.
Thanks to participation in the training, the audience expanded their knowledge and learned how to operate in the changing energy market.
